Furthermore, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics forecasts that jobs for computer programmers will decline by 8% from 2014 to 2024, at least in part due to the ease with which many of these jobs can be outsourced to countries where wages are lower.

Yeah, I definitely wouldn't worry about it. Outsourcing's been an on-and-off again concern for the better part of two decades now, and look at the job market for developers.
