You work on high impact products: people run so many things on HashiCorp's tooling (Vault, Terraform, and of course the original Vagrant). It's like 6+ companies in one.
If you work at HashiCorp, you'll make good money and have good benefits. The stock options are really worth something. Some of the products have a real positive impact on the world. Being remote is great if it suits your personality. The founders have policies in place protecting minorities.
I feel appreciated here and it's been a while since I've felt that at a job as a minority. We have some areas for improvement I think in terms of hiring more diverse candidates, but otherwise this is a great place for them to join.
Company is on a growth path and probably will IPO or otherwise end up in a position where your RSUs are worth something.
